Family ID should actually be called "Family Member ID." If you think of it as a family member ID it helps to better understand it. We understand that this is a little confusing because the term "family" typically refers to a multi-person grouping of related individuals, but in this case it just means a single family member's ID. 

We use the term "Family" instead of "Parent" because SchoolFront allows you to track any family member related to students and assign them varying levels of communication targeting and system access.
