Manage Infirmary Visit Categories for Your School

In SchoolFront, "Visit Categories" are general reasons a student may come to the infirmary. These categories will be used to label/sort/organize student visits to the infirmary.

You will be able to run queries and reports using these categories, so think carefully about what categories make sense for your school.

Example Visit Categories

Some examples are:

• Cold/Flu Symptoms
• Cuts/Scrapes
• Dental Injury
• Ear Ache
• Facial Injury
• Headache
• Medication
• Nose Bleed
• Other Reason
• Sore Throat
• Sprain/Strain
• Stomach Ailment

Step-by-Step Instructions

To add or edit Visit Categories for your school, follow these steps:

1. Login as an administrator.

2. Click Feature Administration in the left vertical navigation menu.

3. In the section called "Health/Medical" click Visit Categories.

4. Click the "New Health Visit Category" link.

5. Enter a Category Name. For example "Nose Bleed" or "Medication."

6. Enter a Category Description--describe the category. When should it be applied?

7. Click the Insert button.
