Transferring Domain Name System (DNS)

Domain Name System (DNS) is the means by which a person browsing the Internet can gain access to your site.  It translates the Domain Name (e.g. frontedgehighschool.com) to the server (i.e. IP Address) hosting the site.

SchoolFront Online Help provides instructions on the configuration of the Domain Name System associated with the URL that you have associated with your school or district.  If you currently do not have a domain name, please let support@schoolfront.com know and we can help you to acquire one for your school (a fee payable to GoDaddy.com may apply).

There are many different Domain Name providers.  The screen captures in this document are from the GoDaddy DNS management interface but show the configuration required and can be applied to other Domain Services.
