Making Table Changes

Manage Table Elements: Cell Merge / Split, Adding / Removing Columns & Rows

If you are familiar with Microsoft Word and other word processing software, you have probably dealt with tables and have had to make changes to tables, such as deleting columns and rows, adding columns and rows, and merging and separating cells. This can be done in SchoolFront Portal CMS as well.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Make Adjustments to Cells

1. Place your cursor in the cell where you want to make an adjustment and right-click.

2. In the menu that appears, place your cursor on Cell in the menu.

3. The sub-menu will appear with options for adjusting the cell.

4. Options Include:

  • Insert Cell Before
  • Insert Cell After
  • Merge Left
  • Merge Right
  • Merge Down
  • Split Cell Horizontally
  • Split Cell Vertically
  • Cell Properties
Make Adjustments to Rows
 

1. Place your cursor in one of the cells in the row where you want to make an adjustment and right-click.

2. In the menu that appears, place your cursor on Row in the menu.

3. The sub-menu will appear with options for adjusting the row.

4. Options Include:

  • Insert Row Before
  • Insert Row After
  • Delete Rows
Make Adjustments to Columns

1. Place your cursor in one of the cells in the column where you want to make an adjustment and right-click.

2. In the menu that appears, place your cursor on Column in the menu.

3. The sub-menu will appear with options for adjusting the column.

4. Options Include:

  • Insert Column Before
  • Insert Column After
  • Delete Column
Delete the Table Completely

1. Place your cursor in one of the cells in the table you want to delete and right-click.

2. In the menu that appears, click Delete Table.
