Configure the School Year in SchoolFront
Confirm Appropriate School Year(s) Have Been Added to System by Support Team
School years are created in SchoolFront for you by the SchoolFront Support Team. School years are time-boxed, so in addition to a standard school year, make sure that the Support Team created a school year for summer camp / summer school if applicable since these operations run after the conclusion of the standard school year.

Configure Marking Periods for Upcoming School Year
Marking periods are also created by the Support Team but you must login and "tweak" the start and end dates to ensure that they align with the actual scheduled start and end dates of your school's marking periods, and configure summary marking periods to enable the creation of report cards whose scores are calculated using the combined scores of standard marking periods.
