Ensure That Your School(s) Are Segmented Properly in SchoolFront

The term "school" when used in relation to the SchoolFront system is sometimes different than the way customers use the term. While a customer may regard all students as part of a single school, those students may be segmented into multiple SchoolFront Schools. Alternatively, a school or district may have students segmented into multiple schools, but SchoolFront may put them into fewer schools (or even a single school) in the system.

Understanding "Schools" in SchoolFront

The main reason we segment students into schools in SchoolFront is to enable the segmented groups to use different approaches to grading (i.e. structure, curve, calculation, etc.) and different report card types (e.g. skills, rubric, or standards based).

So to tell how many schools are needed, we must determine the number of report cards used at the school, the groups that use each report card, and to understand the reasons they use different report cards. To ensure that the SchoolFront Support Team gets your configuration correctly, it is absolutely necessary to provide them with ALL discrete report card layouts used by all grade levels and groupings of students.

Send Report Card Examples to the SchoolFront Support Team

To make sure that report card requirements are 100% clear and defined, an example of each required report card must be provided to the SchoolFront Support Team for analysis. If you are brand new to creating report cards, we recommend that you find an example from another school (i.e. online or by some other means) and give us that as the basis for design and requirements gathering.

If there are things about the example(s) you provide that you do not like or want changed, we need to know those things at this point.
