Creating Marking Periods for the Year in SchoolFront
SchoolFront Support Team creates the school year based on the start and end dates specified in the contract between SchoolFront and the school. An administrator user from the school must then configure the Marking Periods within that school year before anyone else (teachers, counselors, etc.) can really do anything else in the system. This is a highly critical step!
Note: The SchoolFront Support Team can auto-generate a specified number of Marking Periods for the year when they configure your school for the school year, but the auto-generated Marking Periods will all be exactly the same duration, so an administrator user will still need to login and "tweak" the start and end dates to ensure that they align with the actual scheduled start and end dates of your school's marking periods.
