Ways to View and Use Grade Information in SchoolFront

There is a number of different ways in which teachers can view and use student grade information once they have entered it in SchoolFront.

Applicable System Roles

System users with the following roles can do this:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Print Out a Summary of Student Grades for a Course

1. Login to SchoolFront as a teacher.

2. Select the Gradebook option from the left-hand menu.

3. The Gradebook page will open. Select the Course for which you would like to enter or edit grades.

4. Make sure that the correct marking period is selected from the Marking Period drop-down menu.

5. The gradebook for the course and marking period you specified will open.

6. Click the Printable Grade Summary link.

7. A new window with a printer-friendly grade summary will open.

8. Follow the browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) directions for printing the window.

Check Student Averages to Date

1. Login to SchoolFront as a teacher.

2. Select the Gradebook option from the left-hand menu.

3. The Gradebook page will open. Select the Course for which you would like to enter or edit grades.

4. Make sure that the correct marking period is selected from the Marking Period drop-down menu.

5. The gradebook for the course and marking period you specified will open.

6. Click the Export Grades to CSV link.

7. A new window will open. Click the Click Here to Download link.

8. Open the Microsoft Excel™ file. You will be able to manipulate the grades in the Microsoft Excel™ file.

Export the Grades for a Course to Microsoft Excel™

1. Login to SchoolFront as a teacher.

2. Select the Gradebook option from the left-hand menu.

3. The Gradebook page will open. Select the Course for which you would like to enter or edit grades.

4. Make sure that the correct marking period is selected from the Marking Period drop-down menu.

5. The gradebook for the course and marking period you specified will open.

6. Use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page to scroll all the way to the right.

7. A summary of the averages for all students in the course to date in each of the Grade Categories, as well as the overall Grade will be visible.
