Acquire Slideshow Embed Code from Picasa

After you have applied the “Unlisted” security setting to the album, you must generate and copy an embed code.

1. Login to your Picasa account.

2. Go to the My Photos tab.

3. Click the Album to open it.

4. In the right side of the screen there is a gray area. In that area click the link that says Link to this album.

5. Then click the link that says Embed Slideshow.

6. From the Slideshow options choose:

  • Slide Show Size: Large 400px

  • Uncheck Show Captions (If you have entered captions for all images in the album in Picasa then you can check this checkbox. Otherwise uncheck.)

  • Check the Autoplay checkbox.

  • Uncheck HTML Links

7. Copy the Embed slideshow code. You will be using this code when you create the photo blog entry in the CMS. It should look something like this:

<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="400" height="267" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=https%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fretapi%2Fuser%2F118067405302602843199%2Falbumid%2F5788043693776200833%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26authkey%3DGv1sRgCKfMksmresyQ9LDt5QE%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
