Edit Marking Period

Add Marking Periods for a School Year

After marking periods are added to the system they can still be edited at any time by an administrator user to ensure that they align with the actual scheduled start and end dates of a school's marking periods.

Helpful Tip: Skip this tip section if you are a brand new SchoolFront Customer this school year. If you have used SchoolFront to manage your school in past years, you may want to login to SchoolFront and quickly review the previous year's marking period configuration as a guide for configuring this year's configuration. To check last year's configuration follow these steps:

  1. Login to SchoolFront as an administrator user.

  2. Click Feature Administration in the left navigation menu. The Feature Administration page will open. Then click Year & Marking Periods under Scheduling and Courses.

  3. Find your previous school year in the list and click the magnifying glass icon beside the school year. The Manage Marking Periods page will open.

  4. To see the details of each of the different Marking Period configurations click the magnifying glass icon beside the Marking Period. You may want to take note of the configuration (settings) of each marking period configured for the previous year so that you can replicate it or do something similar in the new school year.
