Whether or not you ultimately need a printable schedule as an output of course planning, you must create sections before students can be enrolled in the sections.

Schedule Course Sections

Only schedule course sections if you are generating course sections for students who each need their own individualized schedule--This is usually a requirement for students who rotate from class(room) to class(room) throughout the day. Students who are generally in the care / direction of a single teacher do not need individualized schedules and therefore do not require section scheduling.
