Add an Interactive Map by Bing to Your Webpage
There is an example of a Bing Map web-part above. Bing Maps™ is an online mapping service that enables users to search, discover, explore, plan, and share information about specific locations. By using traditional road maps, labeled aerial photo views, low-angle high-resolution aerial photos, and proximity searching capabilities, Bing Maps allows you to incorporate both location and local search features into your webpages.
Bing Map Web-Part Settings
Location
Enter something as detailed as a specific street address (i.e. including street address, city, state, and zipcode) or something as vague as "New York."
Caption
This is the text that will appear when your location pin is moused-over.
Show Location Pin?
Check checkbox if you want a specific location pointed out on the map with a graphic image of a "pin."
Map Height and Map Width
Set the height and width of the map on the page in pixels.
Show Map Controls?
Map controls will allow your website visitors to interact with the map--i.e. to do things like zoom in.
Initial Zoom
This is the default zoom settings applied to the map when the page loads. Try playing with the setting to see how changing it effects the way the map appears.

- Road - Shaded
- Aerial
- Hybrid
- Birdseye
- Birdseye Hybrid
Enable Driving Directions?
This adds a little field below the map where a user can enter his/her starting address and the map will generate driving instructions for him/her.
Driving Directions Distance Unit
Options include "Mile" and "Kilometer."
