Password Management in SchoolFront

All SchoolFront users must have a unique username and password to securely access the system.

Note: Parents and students are urged to change their assigned passwords when they first log in. After that, they should be changed every 60 days. This will help with security and with remembering passwords.

Students

Note: Students must be added to SchoolFront by an Administrator user or teacher before they can login. When a student is added to the system, the system automatically generates a unique username for the student and creates an initial password that the student can use to login for the first time. Teachers or administrators will give students their first username and password.  Be sure to change your randomly generated password the first time you login. Pick a password that is difficult to guess but that you will remember. A strong password helps ensure that your information remains secure. After your first login, you can change your password as frequently as you wish.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Login to SchoolFront using your current user name and current password.
  2. Click the Change Password tab.
  3. Enter your current password in the Current Password box.
  4. Enter the password to which you would like to change in the New Password box.
  5. Confirm the new password by typing it one more time in the Confirm New Password box.
  6. Click the Submit button to complete the change.
  7. Next time you login to the system, use the new password. You can change your password again as frequently as you wish.

Recover a Forgotten Password

If you forget your password, ask a teacher at school for it. Most teachers have access to SchoolFront and they will be able to help you retrieve it from the system.

Parents / Guardians

Note: Parents must be added to SchoolFront by an Administrator before they can login. once a parent is added, the system automatically e-mails the parent an assigned username and password.

Change My Parent Password

Be sure to change your randomly generated password the first time you login. Pick a password that is difficult to guess but that you will remember. A strong password helps ensure that your information remains secure. After your first login, you can change your password as frequently as you wish.

  1. Login to SchoolFront using your username and current password.
  2. Click the Change Password tab.
  3. Enter your current password in the Current Password box.
  4. Enter the password to which you would like to change in the New Password box.

  6. Click the Submit button to complete the change.
  7. Next time you login to the system, use the new password. You change change your password again as frequently as you wish.

Recover a Forgotten Password

If you are a parent and have forgotten your password, you can have the password automatically emailed to you.

  • Click here if you are a parent, and you would like to have your password emailed to you.
    Note: You must know the email address you have listed for yourself in SchoolFront for this process to work.
